Unexpected Hiatus
I’m sure some of you have wondered, “Where is Pretti Boi Blue?” Well, the truth is that my summer has been extremely hectic…
Monday-Friday:
I’ve been putting in an insane number of hours at work training several new employees. The process was very time-intensive. There were days that I didn’t get a chance to sit at my desk for 8+ hours. In addition to running the training, I still had my normal duties and paper-pushing to accomplish. By the time I arrived home from work, I was physically and mentally exhausted (actually, I think I was beyond exhausted. I just can’t think of the proper adjective to adequately express how I felt…).
Saturday-Sunday:
Since I couldn’t spend a lot of quality time with my love during the week, weekends were “her time”. She and I alternated between hanging out doing various activities and relaxing at home. We were in the market for a new place, so we did most of our “house-hunting” on the weekends as well. Soooo many things required my attention at once, thus my blog writing/reading was put on hold for a while. I have been taking plenty of random notes though (thank goodness for the note-taking and voice recorder apps on my phone, lol)! And I actually felt guilty for not blogging or posting a brief note about my absence… is that normal?
*shrug*
Anyway… things have settled down quite a bit. The new employees are doing well, my love and I are in the process of moving into our new townhouse, and at least 95 percent of my sanity as returned (I think the remaining 5 percent is lost for good). Now I can begin turning all those “little random notes” into coherent pieces of poetry, short stories, etc. and catch up on my blog reading (I wonder what I’ve missed, I feel so out of the loop…).
So watch out now, ’cause Blue is back in effect, lol!
